Hey, so i'm going to grade 12 in the fall, and i decided to take grade 12 english in the summer school, expecting to get a higher mark than if i took it in day school. but, midterms came in and i'm not satisfied whatsoever with my mark (75%). i feel like i could get a way better mark if i took it in day school, and am considering dropping. but if i drop now, will my midterm mark show up on OUAC? and since english is almost always used as a pre requisite towards university applications, will universities see that i dropped in the summer, and am taking it again in the fall? thanks to whoever helps me, because i'm in such a dilemma right now. :(

I was in the same predicament when I had to drop SPH4U in favour of taking Bio in the summer... Usually most summer schools let you drop right after you get your mid-terms, similar to day school. However, you should be ABSOLUTELY sure of the last date to drop out of a course without penalities (that is, mark wise) as you can end up with a really screwed up mark given that they don't let you drop it. From what I heard, universities only care about your transcripts and if you drop out with sufficient time, it won't even show up on your report card as an actual, completed course. And if you're not thinking about U of T or Waterloo, it wouldn't even matter if you repeat the course anyways. Good luck!

Thank you so much! but, will it show up as a dropped credit though? and will OUAC and universities see this? It will not show you took the course or even signed up for it. :D
