Are you applying online? I've heard applying in person makes a bigger impact....

I'm also from Brampton and am trying to get a job, even if university is still almost 2 years away for me.

Not sure exactly where but just search that up. And yeah find a job...i'm starting uni next year and i have nothing saved up. i dont want to depend on osap but i guess i have to.

Can't you get a parent or friend to drive you? If not is there any place within walking distance you can apply near your house?(A Tim Horton's, Sobey's or something...) Because I hear employers rarely look over online applications seriously, unless applying online is the only way to apply...What I did recently was go to Trinity and hand in my resume to a bunch of places, I haven't gotten a reply yet(I did it today) But all I know is out of all the applications I did online, only McDonald's and Canada's Wonderland got back to me.

Yeah I don't want to depend on osap and my parents for everything either.

Looks like Im in the same boat as some of you here! I am from the same area and this is my final year! I need to get a part-time job! I've applied to Canadian Tire, Fortinos and a few of them for that matter, but I heard nothing. I was thinking of applying to Bramalea but how would I know what store to apply for? Do I just walk in the mall and hand-in my resume anywhere?

Pleaseeeee help!! I need to save up money to at least get me started in first-year which is like at least $7000-$10000 if I include residence. My parents and OSAP will give me a little, but I need to start working so I can at least save up, even a little bit!

Please PM me if you have any ideas or suggestions! All infor is greatly appreciated! :)

Dont forget, you also have the option for OSAP which can help you pay for tuition if you didnt know. But a part time job before university is great, not only are you making money but have something to put on your resume :) Customer service is probably the most essential skill required now a days.

If you have no way to go physically and apply then I don't see how you would go the interview or to your shifts - if you were to get hired ... I'm confused.
