on a side note, why is everyone on this forum all getting like 95s? -_- if the competition is this fierce i won't even get ivey status :/

you have to understand that most of the people on this forum, frankly, are try-hards and over achievers. Typically they are really bright and well rounded etc. In no way does this represent all of the people that will be accepted, more like 30-40% of them.

Hello everyone, I have applied to BMOS and got accepted, but when is western giving out aeo acceptances? My average right now is 90.85 with english, advanced functions, calc, sports entertainment marketing. I think I can bring it up to a 92 after 2nd semester mid term with a business management and religion course (I go to a catholic school). My EC's: 1. I was the moderator and organizer a televised political debate during the 2011 federal election and 4 Member of parliment candidates and 1 incumbent MP appeared (The honorable Paul calandra) along with a television station who aired it on the news and 2 newspapers appeared at the event. It was the only political debate in Canada's largest election riding (oak ridges) which all four MP's attended. And it was the first political debate ever hosted in a YRDSB school 2. I was a youth political commentator for Roger's television during the 2011 federal election, I appeared on television during the election night coverage 3. I was VP of my school's DECA chapter.

What was your average to get into schulich? I heard from some that it was sky-high at 93 cut off, then there is others who says schulich is desperate for ppl and will take high 80's. Did you get accepted to schulich today?

their essays mustve been pretty good...its not just about the ec's, the essay is a big part of your application

i think if your sentences are good and you had a good idea within the essay then you should be good :)

lol yeah if your ec's are good and your essay is good then ivey wouldve probably rated you a 4 and thats good enough to get in with an 88

and they should go into ouac on april 20, every school is different however.
ivey usually doesnt send alot of their offers until mid may but there are a lot of offers given out on a rolling basis

Yeah true, but the problem is how do they judge your EC's? I mean unlike marks there are no standards for EC's, cause everyone is different. Cause none of EC's besides DECA have anything to do with business....=(

what? your essays are only judged on a scale of 4? that's a small range :S so you're saying if they give you a 2/4, you'll need like 92+, 3/4 then 90, 4/4 then 88?

That is the whole problem, who knows how they judge you? I think sunny means, your entire application will be graded out of 4. So if you get 4/4, your in. If 3/4, they want to see your mid term. Else, your out of luck.

really? Where did you find that from? because on their website they say they will give a "select number of people" offers based off their first semester marks.

How do you know if they contacted your ref's? Do ivey send you a notification? Or do you have to ask your ref's if ivey contacted them?

so since ivey is expanding, there shouldn't be a problem getting ivey status with a top 6 of a flat 90 eh? given decent ec's like 2 essays about exec roles of clubs, and 1 on entrepreneurial venture

what would qualify as 'decent ec's' and what would be 'amazing ec's'? people keep saying you can get in with a high 80 with amazing ecs.. what kind of stuff is that? personally what did you write about for your 3 essays?
