Oh haha. Well I'm in Health Studies now and I really want to switch into Kinesiology and heard that York has a great Kin program, so I applied! I got accepted in February and already confirmed my acceptance so I will most likely be going there in the Fall :)
Woah that`s a lot of applicants... Hopefully I still have my spot? Haha.
One of that conditions that came with my acceptance was that I had to accept by March 16th. Do you have the same condition? And also, why are you switching?

Besides Mac is really boring compared to York when you consider social atmosphere(not residence atmosphere). My conditional said to accept by March 29. Don't know why it's so early.
Yeah I'll be moving back home as well so it will definitely save me a lot of money by not having to pay for residence anymore. Hm it may be early because enrolment for courses for upper years starts soon and they want us to be part of that?

So you guys are transferring to so called "easier" or "less rigorous" schools, my goal is grad school but I rather receive a top notch Psychology education with lab courses than just have it easy so I can get into Grad School, is this a bad approach? Like what good would it give me if I went to a "easy" school just to get into grad school? I'm speaking in terms of becoming a Neuropsychologist! I'm speaking in terms of becoming a Neuropsychologist! Personally, I'm not transferring to York just because its "easier", and I don't think that Lawstudent1 is either. I'm transferring because from the extensive research that I've done, I've heard that York has a better Kin program than Queen's, which does include lab courses. The program is really appealing to me and I'm sure it will still challenge me at times. And hey, if it gives me a higher GPA in the process, bonus.

I also think York will probably be easier than both Mac and Queens ;) Mine is on May 9th :) I'm also considering taking a summer course if they let me...

I'm speaking in terms of becoming a Neuropsychologist! This debate has been argued in HUNDREDS of threads over the years. Some want a higher GPA, others don't care as much. Getting a higher gpa is always at the back of people's minds but nobody's going to switch schools, transfer credits, find different living accommodations, adjust to a different school, make new friends, etc. for this reason. If you read the previous posts or looked at my signature, you would have seen that I am NOT studying neuropsychology and am transferring into a program York is KNOWN for and Mac DOESN'T offer. No disrespect,I'm just tired of people who question the decisions I make about my life. ;) Amen.

I got some really good advice from a prof the other day who said that "everyone and their dog has an opinion on what you should be doing". It is easy to get overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice, and no matter what you choose to do, there will be people who agree and people who disagree. I think that it is important to decide for yourself... do your research, maybe find a mentor or two who you trust, and do what feels right for you. Good luck!
