Hello!
I'm debating whether to go to UBC Vancouver or UVic. Political sciences programs, to be specific.I did not apply for scholarships at UBC because I thought they still had the automatic ones, and I have been offered a $20 000 scholarship at UVic. Is it worth it to go to UBC Vancouver to give up all that money? I'm from Alberta, so I do need the money for residence. I know it's prestigious, but surely it can't be that much better than UVic. All help appreciated!! :)
Thanks!

I would follow the money. The reputation of UBC isn't really going to matter all that much. It MIGHT matter a little bit for your first job, but after that experience typically trumps everything.

I agree with all the above posts. If you plan on going to grad school or med school, UBC would be the place to go, but I'd doubt you'd want to do that with a BA in Poli Sci. Victoria is such a beautiful city and I bet UVic is a lot prettier than UBC. PLUSSSS.. UVic is party nation over here on the west coast!! Is the workload extremely difficult at UBC? I'm scared that it will be. I feel like I will stand out in UVic a bit more. Could anyone give me advice on this? Is UBC really that much more prestigious if I want a job in Vancouver after?
