Hey, I was admitted as an upper year student to Western + offered residence even though I'm not technically "first year".... does this mean I have guaranteed admittance for o-week? I've never been to university before (I just got credit for my CEGEP courses with good grades)...

On move-in day will they know i'm 2nd year and not give me my bracelet?

It would really suck if they wouldn't let me experience frosh week..

I doubt anyone really has an answer because I went through a lot of phone calls and confusion.. They didn't seem to know what to do with me and someone even told me I wouldn't be allowed in res... though I got my offer and made my deposit anyway.


Queen's Hon. Science - accepted 1st year
Queen's Engineering - Rejected offer for wait list
Western Science - accepted 2nd year
Western Engineering - accepted 1st year
Acadia Science (Geology) - accepted 2nd year

CEGEP students usually participate in O-Week along with everyone else, since you are still new to Western! Everyone has to pay for their O-Kit, so you can go through the same procedure as anyone else and should be just fine. You'll be able to buy your kit online once the system is up and running.
