When I visited Queen's I noticed that the vast majority of people there are white. It didn't seem very racially diverse to me which put me off, but I also didn't like Kingston, and their life science program isn't that reputable in my opinion (feel free to disagree). However, Queen's has a beautiful campus which is right beside lake Ontario, which is one thing I liked. I also felt like I wouldn't fit in at Queen's which is why I'm not considering Queen's any more.

I've never visited uOttawa but I've visited Ottawa and I really liked the city; it's bigger than Kingston and there's so much more to do since it's the nation's capital.

I think you'll have equal opportunities to get involved at either school, Queen's seemed like a very extracurricular-focused school but I'm sure Ottawa has great opportunities too.

Based on what you said I think uOttawa would be better for you; you may meet Korean people at uOttawa but you'll meet so many other people of different races in Ottawa.

But also consider the programs; do you like computer science or science more?

but im worried that they are all white or white washed..

Honestly? Not going to a school because of its racial composition? Sorry but grow up.. a big part of university is growing as a person - don't be ignorant/closed minded about other races/cultures. And whichever school you go to will be big enough to "make at least 3-4 good friends".

I mean even some asians who born in canada feel hard to get in, and I'm just a FOB who has a big accent D=

I totally understand how you feel. When I was younger, I had a bigger accent than what I have now and I was really self-conscious about it. But I realized that I shouldn't give a single crap about what others think and if they don't want to hear me speak, then they can go to another room and fck themselves. Anyway, where ever you go, I'm sure you will be able to find a group of friends you will get along really well with. There will still be Asians at Queen's but honestly, same race is not as big of a factor in making friends as is having similar personalities.
