If I don't get accepted into McGill then I'm going there! (Already accepted their offer for the biochemistry program

)
I've visited Ottawa twice, and it's such a beautiful city. Everyone's friendly, even the bums! xD
ergh, it's so hard to make up my mind...
EDIT: I've also been accepted to Western along with Mac as well. Personally, I didn't choose Mac because their entry scholarships were certainly lacking in comparison to the amount given out by other universities. The city isn't too pretty either. Well, I'm sure there are some pretty areas, but it's basically known to be an industry-based city. I don't like making judgements based on what others say, but I've had a heck of a lot of my friends who are at Mac tell me how much they detest their classes and the environment of the school in general. Many of them even transferred out of there! :/
I really didn't even think too much about Western until quite a few of my friends had gotten into there and tried to persuade me to go there with them. It's a well-known school for academics, their entry scholarships are awesome, and of course.. it seems to be the place where new friendships are indeed easy to find (even if you're not a partier, hehehe.)I don't know too much about the actual culture of the city myself, I guess if I had more of an interest in Western I would've done some research on that.
The thing with me is, one of my main priorities of going to university is to start off completely new. I want to experience a new city, meet new people, and to be far away enough from my home so that my old friends and my family do have some influence, but not enough of an influence to be a part of my everyday life. Yeah, it's sort of hard to explain that, sounds like the way of the loner, eh? :P
Good luck with choosing the university that is right for you! My advice for you is to truly go by what you think is right for you, and not to be persuaded into thinking that one university is "the one" by someone else. :)
