To be on the safe side, I'd say make sure your average is at least in the 90's range. However, I'm sure many people know already, a good supplemental will compensate for a low average. In my opinion, when I did my supplemental application, I kept in mind about the quality of my extracurricular activities. I would say that I had similar amounts of EC, if not less, but I had a lot to write about for each one of them. The application (if it's still the same for next year) consists of a section to put down what activities you have done and a SHORT (50 word) explanation, as well as several questions that make you discuss your leadership experiences, challenges, etc. From what you told us, it's hard to tell if you will be accepted in my opinion. For example, you can be in the executive team of a club or organization but contribute absolutely nothing, and did you learn anything during this period? The main idea is to identify what the situation was, what actions did you take, and what were your results. I think they want people who can brag about themselves without looking like they are showing off. UBC Sauder 2016 - currently studying in SFU Beedie - admitted

When writing your personal profile keep in mind, you are trying to make two points — what you learned from the experiences, and how they will help you in Sauder (so business related skills) That plus a good average and you will have a good chance Class of 2016

Queen's and Ivey are both higher ranked for commerce and produce more respectable MBAs. Sauder would be comparable to something like Rotman which is second-tier next to Queen's/Ivey. Applied to (Fall 2011):
Queen's University - Arts [Admitted] [ACCEPTED OFFER] University of British Columbia (Vancouver) - Arts [Admitted] University of British Columbia (Okanagan) - Arts [Admitted] University of Western Ontario - Social Science (2 programs) [Admitted] University of Western Ontario - Media, Information, & Technoculture [Admitted] Simon Fraser University - Arts (Criminology) [Admitted] University of Toronto, Victoria College - Social Sciences [Refused] [Alternate Offer - Scarborough] University of Waterloo - Honours Arts [Admitted] McMaster University - Social Sciences [Admitted] McMaster University - Humanities [Admitted]

What I am trying to say is that picking a school does not necessarily picking the ones that are ranked the highest. After all, it is ONLY a bachelors degree. Selecting a school can be a long and tedious process in which one has to factor in many variables. For example, cost of studying abroad, tuition fees, personal habits, family issues etc. What I do not understand is why greatwallpaul asked why he picked UBC over Queens/Ivey? It is clearly evident that the OP did not apply to any of those schools in the first place therefore, leaving him a choice only between UBC and SFU, leaving Queens/Ivey completely out of the question. This also shows that the OP has not shown interest in studying abroad for whatsoever reason (stated above). The reason why I decided to post this is to show that rankings are not everything. Many factors come to play as well as restrictions on the individual (financial, family, etc). If the OP got into Sauder, then he would have most likely been accepted to both Queens and Ivey should he applied. Bachelor of Arts 2015 " Forever New Frontiers" - Boeing

I think this statement is valid but only apply to MBAs, not Commerce Bachelors. However, this doesn't mean Queen's, Ivey, Sauder, Beddie or Rotman doesn't produce good commerce undergraduate students.

Yes, I understand that completely and I know undergraduate rankings don't mean much but going into a better commerce program during undergrad will also prep the student for entrance into higher ranked graduate schools since the program will be more rigorous.
