EYYYYYY, congratulations mate! I just checked my email not too long ago and I got in as well (same program). However, I am not too sure what's going to happen with residency?

Seems like system & design engineering stream is majorly lacking applicants this year.. I did not get any alternative since i never listed systems as one. My alternatives were Elec and Comp Eng. University of Toronto - Life Sciences

My average was like an 86ish English : 82 Physics : 80 Chemistry: 82 Adv Func: 90 Calc: 89 Comm tech: 93 and I don't think alot of engineering programs are lacking space in Waterloo (not explaining the fact that I have no reason why some programs are still even accepting). They must have a lot of people that either decided they weren't going to take up S.Y.D.E or picked another school. Waterloo Electrical Engineering (Co-op) - Alternative to S.Y.D.E

wow i thought syde usually has a higher cutoff than many other disciplines. are they increasing enrollment for the program or what? Waterloo Computer Engineering

Well I had these marks, but didn't get anything... Oh well, I would have not gone to Systems regardless (not being butthurt XD): Biology 90 Chemistry 90 Advance Func 90 Calculus 88 Physics 84 English 77 University of Toronto - Life Sciences

Computer Science was given as an alternate to a lot of engineer students who did not get accepted. I thought that there would be a lack of space because those students would refuse the alternate.
