EYYYYYY, congratulations mate! I just checked my email not too long ago and I got in as well (same program). However, I am not too sure what's going to happen with residency?

Seems like system & design engineering stream is majorly lacking applicants this year.. I did not get any alternative since i never listed systems as one. My alternatives were Elec and Comp Eng.

Congrats guys. I've completely given up hope for UW Computer Science.
I hope there is extra space in CS.

My average was like an 86ish

English : 82
Physics : 80
Chemistry: 82
Adv Func: 90
Calc: 89
Comm tech: 93

and I don't think alot of engineering programs are lacking space in Waterloo (not explaining the fact that I have no reason why some programs are still even accepting). They must have a lot of people that either decided they weren't going to take up S.Y.D.E or picked another school.

Number of applicants: ~2200
Number of spots: ~300

I asked the faculty of math. Unlike the engineering faculty, they said that they do not plan on making late offers this year.

That sucks. I guess I was hoping for to much. Computer Science was given as an alternate
to a lot of engineer students who did not get accepted. I thought that there would be a lack of space because those students would refuse the alternate.
