The university I applied to requires me to have 30 credits and I finished with 29, and it's already my victory lap. Yes I made mistakes in life and I would do anything to rewrite. The university requires me to hand in a form that says I will be taking summer school in summer. The problem is that it's due today and I faxed it 2 times and emailed it 3 times but they have not received it for some reason. I was not aware that today was Saturday so I emailed it again yesterday and was going to call them today but I was so stressed I did not realize today was Saturday so now now it's to late to verify.
I paid 600 dollars for private school and today because I was so worried I went to a a private owned computer shop and requested them to fax it again and I used 3 different emails sent, and I left a message to tell them to call me back asap. This is my victory lap and if I don't graduate I think my parents would disown me and this is not a joke. I did not leave this to the last minute but I was not expecting 2 faxes and an email to fail (Did these right after I finished exams). They told me that I actually have until next week because until they receive the ouac marks they won't actually send the rejection letter. Why am I so worried? Because it's a holiday on monday so that makes it Tuesday that I have to call in the morning. I don't understand why they haven't been able to receive it even on email? Please please let me get through this stage in life.... I lied to my parents and said I got in and please just let me be sucessful, idc anymore about anything I just want to be a normal person with a normal job... please.
One more question is it possible to register for ANY college in August after I finish my last credit? Please I need to go somewhere I can't stay back for the 3rd time for grade 12.. . My average would be 67 saying I get 50 in private school and low 70's if I get 90's. So is there any chance? Please I need a way out...... anything. goddamit I feel like I'm a step away from just going crazy... Is there any way? I have never thought about college so I don't know and I think it's to late but I'm willing to do anything. Please if anyone out there knows what I can do please tell me.. I feel like a knife is put to my throat. Man it's saturday and I can't call anywhere. Thanks for some people that have sent me some advices... This lie to my parents is making me lose it.
I can't believe I didn't realize today was Saturday holy............. man I just want to cry. I am a step away from working at McDonalds for the rest of my life if you know a college that can admit me in case anything happens please please please just help me out.

OUAC doesn't require marks until July 10th, and they send the last of them on the 17th. As for universities that can still admit you, the OUAC has a tool here for universities that still need to fill spots. There might be less choice now (it looks like some haven't been updated for a while), but hopefully there's something there that interests you. As for colleges, OntarioColleges.ca says right at the bottom of their homepage: "It's not too late to apply to college! Go to ontariocolleges.ca/find to see open programs that are still accepting applications." From the looks of things, there are a ton of openings, either for September or January. If you choose this path instead, you could tell your parents that you think college would be better for you after all. If really necessary, you could apply to a private college. Most don't care when you apply since they're privately owned and offer terms starting in months such as September, January, and May. FailureInLife wrote:I am a step away from working at McDonalds for the rest of my life Worst case scenario, you could work at McDonalds (or somewhere else) for a year, and then attend school next year. No where does it say "You must attend post-secondary education by age X." You'd have more money that way, which means less debt. See what the university says next week. Hopefully they will honour that you tried sending them the form a few times over the past couple of days or something. Best of luck. University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016

Computer Science (Cancelled application)

Thanks for the advice and I am going to call in and ask Seneca about it; but how would I get my transcript sent to them and would they refuse to admit me because of the last credit? Since my school is not open in the Summer. I will have finished it by July 31st and my mom said colleges even accept people in August or September. I'm looking at Seneca for Accounting.

I'm looking at Seneca for Accounting. I'm not entire sure personally. You might be able to email your guidance counsellor (I know my teachers check their emails at home), or call Seneca. Normally for Ontario college applications, it would be the same as it was for university; you're given a unique ID and you use that to manage your application. I would assume that they have some alternative way of doing this now that it's past the application period - you might have to fax your transcript to them or something. As for that last credit, do it in private school/online/however you were going to make up for it anyways since I'm pretty sure they'll want you to have your OSSD. Again, I have no idea, so I'd call them whenever you have the chance. ilikebones wrote:username to thread content correlation made me laugh
that is all If people need something answered either a) in confidence or b) in a hurry, they'll often just relate their account name to what they'll be posting about. It's quite common. University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016

Yeah I plan to do that as soon as possible. I just want to thank you so so much for giving me some information where I could get started. I can't explain how much I appreciate this but thank you.

For some reason my school is not on the college application option? Does anyone know why? Some reason my Academic Data(All my marks up to date) is on the file but you still need to select your school manually to move on to the next section but my school is not there? I'm on the "education" section does anyone know what's going on?

What do you mean they don't send the last of them until 17th? So my university won't get my failed marked until the 10th? Is this credited information because that would give me the chance to hand in the form personally on July 4th when I go for the student orientation day. And also give me the chance to call in July 2nd and have time to still find a way to hand it in hopefully.. I can't go there now because it's a 4 hour drive. And I don't have my G2 either.

Quote:July 10, 2012 Deadline for the OUAC to receive final grades for current semester/year courses from Ontario secondary schools.
July 19, 2012 Target date for the OUAC to transmit all remaining final grades to the universities. By this date, the OUAC will have attempted to contact all schools that have not provided their grades. Apparently I was confusing 17 with 19. I wouldn't count on this, but I'd assume that this means that grades can be changed/sent no later than the 10th if I understand it correctly. University of Guelph Software Engineering, 2016

Updated Information: I found the problem it seems that my high school was listed in the wrong location.
Does anyone know if colleges will wait for my OSSD until middle of August? I submitted my college application but the marks are not updated so they still won't have seen that I'm missing my sixth course.
Is there any way to inform ontariocolleges.ca that I'm taking a course in the summer so the college can see it?
Also how do I get my transcript sent to college? Since guidance is closed now?
So frustrated.

I'm not very familiar with this type of situation, but I'm sure that most places will allow you to take summer courses, so long as you provide them with a notice and some signed forms of their's; you should talk to them colleges/universities directly, by CALLING, email is too slow.
Are you sure your guidance office is closed? Seems REALLY early for ANY high school, since they should be expecting some follow up work for students. Anyway, even the guidance is closed, I'm pretty sure that your school's office or someone else will be given the responsibility on stuff like this.
And I'm also pretty sure some places will still take applicants. Apply to as many places as possible.
